Dear Bowman County Staff, Students, Parents and Guardians, Several schools in North Dakota received threatening calls from out-of-state today, including Bowman County High School. The incident is part of a nationwide threat known as "swatting," where phone calls with threats are made to schools or law enforcement agencies. The Bowman Police Department responded promptly to the situation. After collaborating with our local law enforcement, the call was determined not to be a credible threat of any kind and the Bowman Police Department is actively investigating the incident. Additional security measures were put in place out of an abundance of caution, and school resumed as usual. We will continue to monitor the situation and work with law enforcement to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Respectfully, Dr. Wayne Heckaman Superintendent
