State Girls Golf Starting at 9:00AM (central time) on Monday, September 28 due to the possibility of inclement weather.
What an impactful day we had hosting Teen Dilemma at our campus. It was a full day on Wednesday, with lots of important takeaways for our students. The only way to make something of that magnitude possible is with a LOT of different individuals contributing. We are beyond grateful your integral role in yesterday’s event:

Bowman County FACS students have been busy taking advantage of a large flour donation from the ND Mill in Grand Forks. We are so lucky to have a state-owned mill that supports our school CTE programs.
Another big thank you goes out to Breanne Beylund from Dakota Western Bank. She was a guest speaker this week. She talked to the Independent Living class about the positives associated with banking locally as well as sharing information on how banks work, the services they offer and money management tips. #BulldogPRIDE #BulldogNATION #BulldogGRIT

Teen Dilemma, our biennial teen safety event for 8th and 9th graders, will be held at our campus this Wednesday, September 23, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The intent is to teach our students about safety, especially as it pertains to driving.
Please be advised! There will be emergency responders participating in the afternoon skit at our campus - it is a safety event and not an actual emergency. We would appreciate if you would help spread the word that this will just be a drill.
This event is not open to the public; it is for Bowman’s, Hettinger, and Scranton’s 8th and 9th grade students. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
A reminder, too, to students, faculty, and the event's volunteers: please do not park on the west side of the high school on Wednesday (street or parking lot).

Our school will be using AMIRA Learning with students in grades K–3. AMIRA Learning is a free, state-supported program designed to help schools assess and support students' early reading development.
As part of the program, students will read aloud to the computer or device. AMIRA uses artificial intelligence (AI) to listen to and analyze the student's reading. The program looks at a variety of reading skills and can help educators identify students who may benefit from additional reading support.
The use of AI allows AMIRA to listen to students as they read and provide information to educators about their reading performance. Teachers and school staff will use this information as one part of understanding and supporting each student's reading development.
We are sharing this information so that parents and guardians are aware that their child will be using a program that incorporates AI technology. We believe it is important to be transparent about the tools being used to support our students' education.
If you have questions or concerns about AMIRA Learning or how it will be used with your child, please contact the school.
