School Statement to Parents, Students, and Community

Dear Bulldog Family,
Thank you all for your patience and grace while we investigated a few incidents that took place on the school grounds. Last evening our city police were made aware of some reckless driving in the school parking lot and alleged conversations made by one of our students last evening. Our administration, in cooperation with the local police department, is actively investigating these allegations.

As a precaution, we have been implementing additional security measures at school today. These precautions are isolated in nature and should not impact your child’s school day. Please know that the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority.
If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact the school office directly.

Dear Bulldog Families,

This is a friendly reminder to please complete the Free and Reduced Meal Application, regardless of whether you believe you qualify.

Why is this important?
The number of completed applications directly impacts the amount of Federal Funding our school receives to support programs and services for all students. Every application helps!

The process is quick, confidential, and greatly appreciated.

Since ESSER funding and the expiration of COVID-19 related mandates, we will no longer be hosting our Board Meetings Live, we respectfully invite you to join us in person for our upcoming Board Meetings. Your engagement and input are highly valued as we continue to work collaboratively to support the success of our school and community.

Mrs. Tyneal Burke and Mrs. Cora Weiss are presenting at the North Dakota Literacy Conference in Fargo. They have done extensive work to begin implementing the Reading Benchmark Data Analysis process at Bowman County, and today they are sharing with the rest of the state! We are proud of their work and look forward to seeing how this initiative benefits all our students this year.

Hello everyone! With the fall sports season coming up fast and camp season wrapping up, I wanted to congratulate our student athletes and coaches on an excellent training and skill development season. Our attendance has been great, and I am looking forward to seeing all of you get to put your hard work to the test this fall.

Parents, please ensure your student athlete has received their physical, and have it turned into their coach or me by the first day of practice.

If a student athlete is entering the 7th, 9th, or 11th grade, or they are in their first year at Bowman County, they will also need to participate in IMPACT concussion testing. They will be able to do that August 4th, 5th, or 6th, sometime between 8 am to noon.

Any and all parents with a daughter considering joining golf this fall should attend the girl's golf parent meeting this Friday, July 31st at the Sweetwater Golf Course clubhouse at 5:30 pm. Finally, the all-sports parent meeting will be August 5th, at 6 pm in the high school gym followed by the football, volleyball, and cross country team meetings.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I'm excited to get another successful season of Bulldog athletics underway!
