Food II focus this week was Native American cuisine. Bison was the staple food of the plains tribes. Thank you to guest speaker Conner Buchholz for talking to class about the bison industry and donating ground bison for everyone to try. We made bisons burgers one day and then used it to make our fry bread tacos!

Bowman County Ag I students attended Ag Activity day in Belfield. Students attended rotational workshop on Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), agronomy, food science, swing dancing, profit and loss finance in ag, shop project, meats evaluation, and farm safety (led by Bowman County officers) . Thank you Belfield FFA for hosting this annual event!

Jason Anderson, Advanced EMT and Director of EMS Southwest Healthcare Services and Michael Frank, EMT and BSC Paramedic student conducted basic 1st Aid and CPR training for 43 BCHS juniors and seniors in high school health. These students also earned a technical assessment/industry credential and 1 of the indicators in the Workforce Ready track of North Dakota’s Choice Ready.
