National FFA is in full swing! Members toured the Caterpillar Visitor center in Peoria Illinois on the way to Indianapolis. Livestock Evaluation team is off and running with today’s competition. Good luck to our members as they represent North Dakota and Bowman County.

Bowman County FFA members are Indianapolis bound for the National FFA Convention and Expo! Today we toured Winnebago Industries in Forest City Iowa and toured a Lavender farm in Oxford Iowa.
Halloween is coming soon! Candy Buy-Back will be happening once again to supply some treats to our troops!
Bowman County SPC and FFA members will be conducting the annual trick-or-treat (in costume!) for the Bowman Slope Community Cupboard on Monday, October 24th, starting at 6 PM. Please help us spread the word and donate what you can for this important community organization! Items that are especially in need right now:
• paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels, pads and tampons, etc.)
• instant meals (hamburger helper, ramen packages, etc.)
We send out groups of students to sections of town and they go door-to-door for an hour. If, for some reason, they don’t get to your home and you have goods to donate, please consider dropping off directly with the Community Cupboard OR contact SPC advisors Cora Weiss (cora.weiss@k12.nd.us) or Kate Cristaldi (kate.cristaldi@k12.nd.us) and we can organize something.

Thank you to the booster club for purchasing books for our book study! Bowman County coaches and advisors had a terrific conversation about their "why", a higher purpose, and how utilizing an athlete-centered approach fosters success both now and later.
Congrats and thanks to Sophia Welch! She designed this years t-shirts. Also, thank you to her 5th Grade teacher Mrs. Rafferty for helping her submit her idea.
Since 2012, the community has awesomely provided t-shirts for all staff and students in Bowman County. WOW!! Thanks to all the sponsors this year.

Reminder: We will have a parent meeting for JH GBB & JH BBB on Tuesday, October 18 at 5:30.
The Bulldogs will travel to Velva on Saturday, October 22 for the first round of the NDHSAA football playoffs! Game time is 2:00 mountain time.
